Pack for the Spectator Part of Race Day

The finish is not always the departure

You finish your event, but a friend still has another hour on the course. That changes your plan. Before race day, decide whether you are leaving, waiting, or moving to a spectator area. Check the event's rules for bag collection and access so you know which belongings you can reach when your own race is over.

Make the waiting plan concrete

Choose a meeting place that is outside the flow of runners. Carry the event map and agree on a backup contact plan. Pack clothing and food appropriate to your own needs and the event's rules. Do not assume that the person still racing can check messages or bring you something you forgot. Spectating is its own block of time, not an empty space after the finish.

Keep personal care easy to identify

If you bring a Cannabolix bottle, keep it labeled and packed with your own belongings. Use only as directed and in an appropriate place; the crowd is not a reason to rush or improvise. Leave shared event supplies for their intended purpose. Planning the waiting portion makes room to cheer for your friend without turning your own post-race routine into a search for a bag, a meeting point, and a working phone all at once.
